Saturday Blitz Vegas Pac 12 Prediction: UCLA Wins 38-34

In a battle of potentially the Pac-12’s two most NFL-ready quarterbacks, Brett Hundley is going to come out on top over Cody Kessler. Hundley’s mobility will make the difference along with the fact that the UCLA offensive line, which was a huge weakness earlier in the year, has gotten much better.

Jim Mora has done a heck of a job with this team, and despite two mid-season losses, it still has a very outside chance at getting back to the College Football Playoff now by winning out. The Bruins can’t let that possible second-chance slip away at home against their rivals.

Hundley will throw for 3 touchdowns and run for another, while Kessler throws for four touchdowns. But he will have a crucial interception at one point late in the game that makes the difference.

USC is getting much better on a weekly basis under Steve Sarkisian, but it is still hard to have faith in their defense to consistently play well. Their rush defense and pass defense have been thoroughly embarrassed at different times this year.

Both will get beat up on Saturday. The combination of Kessler and Javorius Allen will keep them in the game. They just won’t be able to pull it out in the end. UCLA wins and gets one step closer to repeating as Pac-12 South Champions.
