Saturday Blitz Vegas Pac 12 Prediction: Washington win 31-21

The Oregon State Beavers saved their chances at a bowl game last week with a huge upset over Arizona State. Now, they need one win to be bowl eligible. It won’t happen on Saturday.

Chris Petersen’s Washington Huskies have struggled to adjust to his style, but they still feast on a team like Oregon State. Just ask Cal. The Beavers rely too heavily on a passing game with Sean Mannion and have an opportunistic defense that in reality can’t stop anybody unless it’s forcing turnovers.

With Cyler Miles at quarterback, Washington usually doesn’t have turnovers. The Huskies will have no trouble moving the ball methodically on the Oregon State defense, with Miles consistently converting crucial third downs on long drives, to stay on the field and keep Oregon State’s offense out of rhythm.

Meanwhile, they will play a tough style of football on defense that the Beavers won’t be able to handle, and when you add in the support of the home crowd, it’s pretty clear that this is going to be a solid Washington win. The Huskies are a good team with a bright future. They’ll reveal why their identity works this weekend.
