Arizona was on the road against a great Utah Utes football team with still a lot to play for. Both teams still could have won the Pac-12 South. And Anu Solomon went down, putting the Wildcats in serious trouble.

Enter Nick Wilson. The running back who has been a by-committee starter for most of the year with Terris Jones-Grigsby stepped up and came through when needed most. And because of his 218 yards and 3 touchdowns, Arizona was able to cruise to a blowout.

Now, they still could have a Pac-12 Championship to play for and have been set up for a great showdown with Arizona State to win the conference. Wilson is the biggest reason for that after Saturday.

Without his quarterback to take pressure off him, Wilson took advantage of the good offensive line he has and torched a very physical Utah Utes defense. For that, he deserves to be named among one of our college football top performers.
