Florida State is back in control in its quest to reach the College Football Playoff, and they are getting the best shot every week from a bunch of pretty good teams. Therefore, their high ranking is still deserved, and a spot in the playoff would be as well if they remain undefeated.

With Florida up next, this team has another chance to beat a 6-win team. And it would be against an in-state rival. Regardless, it is the best team in the ACC by far right now.

Florida State Seminoles 11-0 (8-0)

Last week: Defeated Boston College Eagles 20-17
Last rank: 1

No story here. The Florida State Seminoles are still undefeated, they still keep digging holes or getting in trouble, and they still just keep on winning.

Miami, Boston College, Louisville, Clemson, and Oklahoma State are all good wins. Struggling to pull them out shouldn’t be held that heavily against this team.

The Seminoles again escaped Boston College with great talent, great coaching, and all of the key weapons stepping up from Jameis Winston to Rashad Greene to Dalvin Cook to Nick O’Leary. These guys also showed intangibles, once again never panicking when things could have gotten tough in the 20-17 win. These guys just know how to pull these games out.
