Auburn, like Ole Miss, has nothing to play for and will be looking to ruin Alabama’s season this weekend. The game is in Alabama, but the Tigers are more than capable of doing that. The Tide have got to stay focused if they want to win that game, and Sims need to play as well as he’s played at home all year. Otherwise, another team will be No. 1 in next week’s SEC Power Rankings.

Alabama Crimson Tide 10-1 (6-1)

Last week: Defeated Western Carolina Catamounts 48-14
Last rank: 1

The Alabama Crimson Tide at the top of the SEC Power Rankings and the Vanderbilt Commodores at the bottom of the SEC Power Rankings signify that all is right with the world in the SEC. And Nick Saban’s team is back in business.

Now, it’s time to focus on adding another trophy to that dynasty shelf.

Blake Sims is a great quarterback who has played very well over the past few weeks, and the Alabama offensive line has become dominant. Obviously, TJ Yeldon is a star running back, and Amari Cooper is a superstar receiver making for a high-powered offense that Lane Kiffin gets to run. But then comes the opportunistic defense, which has also been dominant, forcing multiple turnovers to beat Mississippi State and taking over when it matters. The Tide have a complete team, but like the Bulldogs, they have to stay focused this week.
