The only chance at a bowl game lies with an unlikely upset opportunity against the Oklahoma Sooners. It’s hard to say that will happen, but it is the last chance the Cowboys have.

Oklahoma State Cowboys 5-6 (3-5)

Last week: Lost to Baylor Bears 49-28
Last rank: 7

Earlier this year, the Oklahoma State Cowboys were in the running for the Big 12 championship and in the Top 25 with their only loss to Florida State at the time. But a late-season collapse, thanks to a tough schedule, has put this team in trouble.

Now, reaching a bowl will take a big upset for Mike Gundy’s Cowboys after a loss to Baylor over this past weekend.

After they already had to replace their quarterback at the beginning of the year and then deal with an injury to J.W. Walsh, things got difficult for the Cowboys this year with Daxx Garman and Mason Rudolph. But they have never made excuses and continued to fight. Unfortunately, it simply may not be enough this year with the brutal schedule the Cowboys, unlike many teams, were willing to play.
