Now, at 7-4, the Terps still have a lot to play for. Beating Rutgers at home would get this team to 8-4 and be a great sell to recruits in the future about doing that in their first year in the Big Ten. Even if it should have been expected, its a huge plus, so the Terps can’t stop playing.

Maryland Terrapins 7-4 (4-3)

Last week: Defeated Michigan Wolverines 23-16
Last rank: 6

Another road game, another win for Maryland. This time in the Big House. The Terrapins have shocked lots of people with their 7-4 record during their inaugural Big Ten season. But anybody who truly is shocked either knows nothing about Big Ten football or should have their heads examined. And that’s not a joke.

The Terps have been healthier this year than in year’s past, and they’ve beaten everybody they were supposed to beat. In a down year for the Big Ten, doing what they did should have been expected.

Randy Edsall’s team is loaded with skill players, even without Stefon Diggs, and despite CJ Brown’s massive inaccuracy at quarterback, he is still very athletic, can get the ball to the receivers when needed, and is a great leader. Meanwhile, the defense is led by stars such as Will Likely who take advantage of opportunities every time they come their way. And special teams with Brad Craddock is locked up.
