Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Prediction: Texas A&M Wins 30-24

This is the hardest pick for us to make. Both teams are 7-4 and lost to Alabama and Mississippi State, but Texas A&M lost to Ole Miss while LSU lost to Auburn. Then, LSU lost a game to Arkansas it shouldn’t have lost, and Texas A&M lost to Missouri it shouldn’t have lost.

In short, these teams are identical and playing for that final spot in the Top 25 in the SEC.

Our pick goes to Texas A&M. The Aggies are at home and playing very well on offense, while the Tigers have still shown absolutely no passing game whatsoever. Despite their struggles on defense, Kevin Sumlin is a brilliant enough coach to have his team shut down a one-dimensional offense, so the Tigers are in trouble. Meanwhile, Texas A&M also has talent on defense, it is just young.

LSU, however, has no talent at quarterback. That’s going to be the difference, as the Aggies and Kyle Allen have a passing game that LSU won’t be able to keep up with throughout the game, despite being a great team on defense.

Texas A&M wins at home to match last year’s 8-4 record.
