Saturday Blitz Vegas Big Ten Prediction: Wisconsin Wins 35-24

We’d like to start off by giving Jerry Kill, his staff, and the Minnesota Golden Gophers a tremendous amount of credit for putting themselves in position to compete for the Big Ten Championship up to the final weekend of the year. That shows that these guys are seriously building a program.

But they are going to come up short on Saturday. The Wisconsin Badgers are just too good, too powerful, and too talented to allow themselves to lose at home to the Golden Gophers. Yes, they struggled to put away Iowa last week, but for the most part they had control of that game and just let it slip toward the end. This is still the best team by far in the Big Ten West.

Melvin Gordon is consistently rushing for 200 yards, and he will pick up another 200-yard game on Saturday. Joel Stave can pass the ball decently enough, and Tanner McEvoy has been utilized as a runner perfectly.

Collectively, this is a red-hot team, and the Badgers will have no real trouble beating Minnesota on Saturday. Wisconsin clinches the Big Ten West and moves to 10-2.
