Last Game: Defeated Kansas Jayhawks 51-13

Next Game: At Baylor Bears

The Kansas State Wildcats probably have a pretty strong case to be higher on this list when you consider that their two losses are to TCU and Auburn. And with a solid win against Oklahoma along with a strength of schedule higher than Arizona’s, it may be tough for people to understand why they are here below Arizona.

But the Wildcats’ best win is still Oklahoma, and that’s not saying much when you consider that Arizona has beaten Oregon and Arizona State. Considering that and the fact that their schedule strength is still not great, they belong here at No. 13 for now. Coach Bill Snyder’s team still has lots of work to do to prove that it deserves to move up these rankings and have any crazy chance at competing for a spot in the College Football Playoff. And the good news is that chance is this weekend.

A game against Baylor this weekend is a chance for a quality win and to improve their resume in the wins and strength of schedule column. They would move up quickly into the Top 10, and with some luck, maybe the Top 5. But for now, they have to be stuck at No. 13.
