3. Ohio State Buckeyes, 11-1, (8-0)
Last Game: Defeated Michigan Wolverines 42-28
Next Game: Wisconsin Badgers in Big Ten Championship
Talk about bad luck for Ohio State. The greatest story of the season for them in freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett has now turned into a nightmare with him gone for the year. But that doesn’t change the body of work that the Buckeyes have right now.
Ohio State is 11-1, and the Big Ten has looked much tougher this month than it recent months. Also, the Buckeyes have improved in the schedule strength field, while some of the teams they have played have dropped significantly. As a result, not only do they get a spot in the Top 4, they get to be No. 3. Now, we will have to see if Urban Meyer can retain his spot in our Top 3 while having to insert another quarterback into the lineup.
With Wisconsin coming up this week, they will only add to their strength of schedule and their resume with a win. can they do it with a third-stringer? We’ll find out soon enough. And if they do, there’s no way they should be left out of the Top 4.
