Now, at 7-5, a bowl win is not as critical for these guys as it is for the Terps, but it would still be great for momentum going into the future. A winning record for these guys, though, is a good first-year sell.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights 7-5 (3-5)

Just when it appeared the Rutgers Scarlet Knights would be a 6-6 Big Ten team squeaking into a bowl game their first year in the conference, they have a huge comeback against the other Big Ten newcomer, Maryland, to pull off a huge upset on the road.
Kyle Flood’s team is very well-coached, and 7-5 is a great start their first year in the conference.
Gary Nova is a star quarterback, the defense can be very tough on the line of scrimmage, and the Scarlet Knights have shown as a team that they can play very well when things get tight. Winning what could become a future rivalry with Maryland showed that.
