21. Utah Utes, 9-4 (5-4)

Last Game: Defeated Colorado State Rams 45-10 in the Las Vegas Bowl

The bowl game wasn’t much of a win, but the Utah Utes had a great turnaround season this year overall, getting back to a bowl game. Kyle Whittingham did a great job having his kids ready to play week in and week out this year and actually pulling out close games this time.

The Utes have victories against UCLA, USC, and Stanford to brag about this year thanks to a great running game and very physical defense. The football program appears to finally be finding its footing in the Pac-12, and the dominant win over the Colorado State Rams in the Las Vegas Bowl only makes the future much more exciting.

This year could have been even more impressive if the Utes didn’t blow two games, a one-point loss to Washington State and an overtime loss to Arizona State. And don’t forget the freak play against Oregon that changed that game.

But these guys still belong in the Top 25 at the end of the season.
