Defeated Arkansas State Red Wolves63-44 in GoDaddy Bowl

This is just a numbers placing really. A dominant bowl win over Arkansas State is never going to raise any eyebrows or draw lots of attention, but if a running back runs for 271 yards and 5 touchdowns in the dominant win, even if it is a shootout, will. It doesn’t matter what game it is.

This is exactly what Toledo running back Kareem Hunt did as he led the Rockets to a 63-point outing in their dominant victory over the Red Wolves. The crazy part was that Arkansas State did indeed score more than 40 points and still lost in a blowout. What Hunt did made that incredibly possible.

It may have been just an irrelevant mid-major game late in the bowl season, but to run like that is very special. And it says a lot about Hunt in particular, which is why he is on this list.
