2. Erick Dargan, Defensive Back, Oregon Ducks

1 Forced Fumble, 1 Interceptions, 13 Total Tackles, 1 Tackle for a Loss

Defeated Florida State Seminoles 59-20 in Rose Bowl; Lost to Ohio State Buckeyes 42-20 in CFP Championship

Despite losing the national championship game to Ohio State, Oregon did win the Rose Bowl, so they are just as eligible as anybody to have a player in the list of top college football bowl game performers. And that performer was Erick Dargan.

Although Dargan may not have had a great national championship game, he accounted for one-third of the Oregon forced turnovers against Florida State. That’s a lot when you consider how the team collapsed in the third quarter. And Dargan was there for it all, taking down an empire and leading his Ducks to becoming the good guys throughout the college football world.

Dargan had an interception, a forced fumble, 13 total tackles, and a tackle for a loss in this game. He frustrated Jameis Winston all day, and he is a big reason Oregon was even in the national championship game.

So regardless of what happened in that game, Dargan is still tough and great for being such a difference-maker in the Rose Bowl victory.
