Defeated Auburn Tigers 34-31 in Overtime in Outback Bowl

By far the best running back college football has seen in a long time still had another epic performance in him at the end of the 2014 season. Melvin Gordon put up another 250-yard game against the Auburn Tigers, this time torching an SEC defense at the end of the season for a thrilling 34-31 overtime victory.

Gordon was all the Badgers had, as he has been that way all year. Once again, Wisconsin showed no passing game, with Joel Stave throwing 3 interceptions, and all the pressure was on Gordon to get it done. Running for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns in a close game when nobody is around to help out in throwing the ball isn’t just getting it done, especially when you win.

It’s becoming the workhorse superstar of college football. Melvin Gordon has been that all season for Wisconsin, and it was great to see him do it one last time.
