Simply winning the national championship is always enough to keep a fan base excited going into the offseason. Your team just won the freaking national championship!!! While other teams are thinking about the possibility of getting to that high, you are on that high, and you’re thinking about repeat.

So by that alone, you have to be an excited fan base.

And that holds true with the Ohio State Buckeyes more than ever. Not only have they won the national title, but they have 14 starters on both side of the ball back, a fourth straight Top 10 recruiting class, Urban Meyer still as head coach, and three quarterbacks who all look like superstars competing for the starting job.

Seriously, how can you not be excited if you’re an Ohio State fan? Seven starters are back on offense, seven are back on defense. And by the way, for an added bonus, both specialists are back as well. Buckeye nation is as hyped up as ever about this upcoming season, and with Michigan and Penn State still in rebuilding mode in the Big Ten, a return to the College Football Playoff is not only the hope. It’s the expectation.

So Ohio State fans can riot and celebrate as much as they want. They’ve earned that right, and with the future so bright, the high is not ending anytime soon.
