2014 Finish: 9-4 (Defeated Nebraska Cornhuskers 45-42 in the Holiday Bowl)

After beating Nebraska to finish the 2014 season 9-4, USC fans are very aware of how easily they could have gone 12-1. They suffered extremely close losses to Boston College, Arizona State, and Utah. And this was all in the first year of the Steve Sarkisian era.

Now, with 15 starters back and another year of Sarkisian’s system being implemented, all the makings are in place for this team to be even better. That should mean closing out those games this year. At least that’s how the fan base is processing it in their minds, and rightfully so. The last time USC fans were this excited was probably back in 2012, but unlike that year, they actually have some depth built up to cope with injuries since they are off probation.

With that in mind, the offseason has to be very exciting for USC fans, and don’t be surprised if, as time goes on, talk ramps up about quarterback Cody Kessler in the Heisman race. And with a No. 3 ranked recruiting class right now on Rivals, fans are as pumped as ever.

Let’s just say there is a pretty good bit of momentum with the Trojans.
