Analysis

You did not see this one coming did you? The Kansas Jayhawks being tied for first with the Oklahoma Sooners for most players in the Pro Bowl is amazing. It’s a pretty impressive testament to Mark Mangino and the job he did, even if he could not control his temper.

The Big 12 also had a quarterback in Andy Dalton, who somehow made the Pro Bowl. And with DeMarco Murray and Jamaal Charles, it did pretty well at running back also.

Despite having fewer players overall than the Big Ten and Pac-12, the Big 12 has fewer teams as well. When you average players per team, the Big 12 comes in at No. 3. That is why it ranks ahead of the other two.

But with these three at No. 3, 4, and 5, we have a surprise team coming up…
