Analysis

So much for the ACC barely being better than a mid-major conference. That notion has always been ridiculous anyway.

The ACC may have gotten lots of help from the Miami Hurricanes, which as we documented earlier, are the best represented team overall in the Pro Bowl. But the ‘Canes did not help the average anymore than the Golden Bears did for the Pac-12.

And when you factor in total numbers along with the average, the ACC wins over the Pac-12, Big 12, and Big Ten.

Now, if you take into account which conferences these guys played in when they were playing for their school, we have a totally different conversation on our hands. Pitt and Miami are huge players in helping the conference this year. And both have players from another conference.

But the credit still goes where it’s due. And right now, 19 players in the NFL come from schools currently in the ACC.
