Some will immediately be yelling at their screen saying, “How is Kam Chancellor number three!” I agree that Chancellor is an elite safety. Chancellor also takes the Seahawks defense to another level when he is on the field with his steadying presence, big hits, intimidation, and tremendous build.

Chancellor is a part of the best safety duo in the NFL as Earl Thomas is regarded as the best free safety, and Kam Chancellor, to me is easily the best strong safety. Chancellor is a man amongst boys in the defensive backfield and is able to do things that most safeties cannot do, such as cover big tight ends, as well as play an intimidating middle of the field. Perhaps the best part of Chancellor’s game is that he comes to play in the biggest and brightest moments and always steps up for his teammates.

A fifth round pick out of Virginia Tech people doubted that the big Chancellor would be able to play safety at the next level and whether or not he was just a special teams guy. That question has certainly been answered as he had another outstanding season.

Chancellor should have his work cut out for him if he is asked to help on Gronkowski or help over the middle on Edelman.
