10. Oregon Ducks

Losing the national championship to the Ohio State Buckeyes may not have had much of an impact on the Oregon Ducks football program after all. Mark Helfrich has put together a Top 15 recruiting class to add to his cutting-edge system guaranteed to generate 11 wins a year.

On top of that, Oregon is in the running for quite a few elite players left, including three 5-star players. Imagine how great the Ducks could be if they start to recruit on the same level as the other powerhouse programs on a consistent basis.

They are getting close to doing that now, and this recruiting class will certainly be great. But it could be beyond amazing with a good week, so this is serious house money Helfrich is playing with this week.

The bad news for Oregon, however, is the fact that they’ll need a bit of luck to pick up any of these elite recruits, and it’s not like they’re playing with a Top 5 class right now. A Top 15 class will be enough to dominate the Pac-12 North, which is why they get to be on this list. But is it enough to dominate the conference as a whole and win the national title with a couple of other teams on the horizon?

We’re not so sure about that yet.
