It may be getting boring in Tuscaloosa, but when you have the No. 1 ranked recruiting class and are almost certain to hold onto it, however close, you still get to be among the college football programs with the most momentum heading into National Signing Day. This is what Nick Saban does on a year-to-year basis, and on a year-to-year basis Alabama Crimson Tide fans get to be excited about it.

Saban’s class is going to be great no matter what. The chance that it could be better is simply a very scary thought, but it is the truth when you take into account what is left on the table. Alabama is still in the running and may be in the lead for 5-star defensive CeCe Jefferson. The addition of him would ensure the No. 1 spot for the Tide by a comfortable margin, and the loss of him might mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Knowing how deep this program is, it is safe to say that Alabama is not going anywhere despite missing out on the national championship in each of the past two seasons. Saban will keep the top talent flowing in, and Alabama will remain the team to beat in the SEC and likely all of college football. So let’s go ahead and acknowledge the win for Tide fans once again.
