Number of Rivals 100 Players Still Chasing: 4 (4 5-Stars)

Move over Alabama, USC is making a serious push for the top class. With the No. 2 class in the country already behind 17 4-stars, Steve Sarkisian is entering a week that, if successful enough, will easily vault the Trojans into having the top class.

USC is in the hunt for 5-star defensive back Iman Marshall, 5-star linebacker Porter Gustin, 5-star linebacker John Houston, and 5-star defensive end Rasheem Green. Marshall, Green, and Houston are all in the Southern California area, and UCLA is only in play for Marshall. That makes for a strong possibility that USC could nail up to three of these guys, particularly when Gustin and Green are only down to three schools, and there is still the off-chance that they could nail all four.

Doing that would be incredibly impressive and generate more hype around Sarkisian’s program that anything at USC over the past five years. How idiotic do the people criticizing him for not recruiting well last summer look now?

For USC fans, National Signing Day Week is set to be a very exciting one.
