Number of Rivals 100 Players Still Chasing: 4 (2 5-Stars, 2 4-Stars)

Miami Hurricanes fans were already holding their nose on Al Golden for the past couple of years, and with the No. 26 ranked recruiting class going into this week, things are starting to look bleak. This is Miami. The Hurricanes desperately need to have good classes, particularly with a coach going into his fifth year trying to sell that he’s building a program.

That makes this week crucial, and fortunately for Golden, there is indeed a lot to bring to the table. The Hurricanes are in play for four Rivals 100 players, including John Houston, who was already mentioned as an Oregon recruit. Another player they are going after hard is 5-star defensive end Rasheem Green. Both of these guys could be in play, but Golden has to beat out USC, Oregon, Arizona State, and Oklahoma for Houston and Arizona State and USC for Green.

If he can do that, there are also a couple of 4-star guys he’s in play for. Adding all of them to the list would make this a Top 10 class, but at least getting this back into the Top 20 or Top 15 would spell some momentum.
