5. UCLA Bruins

Number of Rivals 100 Players Still Chasing: 5 (2 5-Stars, 3 4-Stars)

The UCLA Bruins were wildly inconsistent throughout the year, but Jim Mora has shown on the recruiting trail that he is still doing his job to build a powerhouse college football program in Pasadena to rival that of the USC Trojans.

With the No. 19 ranked recruiting class right now, Mora has five guys in play right now that could vault his recruiting class into maybe even the Top 5 if things break the right way. The first order of business has to be fighting off USC for many of these recruits, and that’s crucial since USC has such an elite class already. Iman Marshall and Soso Jamabo, a 5-star defensive back and 5-star running back, are in play for the Bruins, but it’ll be hard to secure either recruit.

Still, if they do, things get very interesting with three other 4-star recruits on the list to pick up. Mora and UCLA are not out of the woods just yet, but even with the No. 19 ranked recruiting class, they need a lot more work done if they want to be happy about the upcoming season. After all, USC has already shown it is returning to form under Steve Sarkisian.
