6. North Carolina State Wolfpack

Coach Dave Doeren just missed on a top five ACC recruiting class, but his class has some very good recruits that should help him both this year and in the long run of things. The Wolfpack were able to grab two impact running backs in Reggie Gallaspy and Johnny Frasier, both of whom have a bigger build, but the short area quickness to make them lethal in short yardage and in between the tackles. They also should be very good pass blockers on third down, or even lead blockers if you decide to run a quarterback draw.

Another find was Nyheim Hines, who is another running back, but is very fast and can catch the ball more than Gallaspy and Frasier. Hines has a chance to see some time in the slot where he can utilize his speed and quickness against a linebacker or even a corner. Hines has a chance to be a very good change of pace back, but may have trouble going between tackles.

In additon to the running backs Doeren also grabbed Darian Roseboro, a big defensive end who should compete for time immediately. Roseboro does a good job locking out against offensive lineman giving him leverage, but he plays too high at times, which affects both his pass rush and him playing the run. He should outgrow those habits however, and ultimately has the chance to be a stud.

Doeren put together a great class this year and the Wolpack are now primed to make a run in the somewhat down ACC.
