The Bears had only the No. 7 ranked recruiting class in the Big 12 according to Rivals, but they did pick up exactly what they needed.

At 6’3″ 185 pounds, QB and duel threat Jarrett Stidham will most likely pick up where Bryce Petty left off, which is great news for Art Briles and the Baylor Bears, bad news for the rest of the Big 12. Stidham signed his letter of intent on Wednesday but had committed back in December.

Adding to their roster, the Bears pulled all of their 4 star talent out of the state of Texas, most notably WR Devontre Strickland, who hails from right down the street in Waco. Also from Texas are RB Ja’Mycal Hasty and OT Maurice Porter. Loading up again on the offensive side of the ball, Coach Briles will bring out the pitch and catch blitzkrieg that has been their calling card since RG3 won the Heisman.

Will it be enough to not share the Big 12 Title in 2015? Will it be enough to even repeat what happened in 2014? Good stable class, and a little bit of good news was needed after such a heartbreaking bowl game loss.
