4. Georgia Bulldogs

Rivals Class Rank: No. 7

Here we go again. Mark Richt puts together another amazing recruiting class that deserves to be in the Top 10. There is no question the Georgia Bulldogs continually have the talent to compete with anybody throughout the country.

Yet the Dawgs continue to underachieve.

With that in mind, there is not much of a reason to react to this class, but we’ll do so anyway knowing that it will underachieve. With Hutson Mason gone at quarterback, the Dawgs already have Jacob Park in the wings. Nick Chubb is coming back to be a superstar. The defense is already pretty good.

Whatever the Dawgs add is icing on the cake to a very deep and talented team.

Athlete Terry Godwin and defensive tackle Trenton Thompson are elite 5-star players who can fit in nicely, providing great depth and adding to the talent that already exists. The defensive line was really where Georgia loaded up, as they also finished the class with 4-star defensive ends Michael Barnett, Jonathan Ledbetter, Chauncey Rivers, De’Andre, Walker, and Natrez Patrick.

Add in 4-star defensive backs Rico McGraw and Juwuan Briscoe, and you have a very deep class on the defensive side of the ball. Of course, with a dominant running game for the next two years, a potentially very good quarterback, and some skill players still on the roster, that is perfect for what Georgia needs.

The class is fine. No weaknesses. What Richt does with it is another question.
