10. Tim Settle, Defensive Tackle, Virginia Tech

Kicking off the list is defensive tackle Tim Settle who should fit very nicely in Bud Foster’s defense. Settle is a big kid listed at 6’2” and already weighing in at 325 lbs meaning he is physically ready to handle playing tackle at the college level. Settle can play either the three technique or the one technique, and with the proper training I think could play nose if Virginia Tech decides to play a three man front.

Settle has the skill to be able to push the pocket from the inside and beat opposing double teams as long as his pad level doesn’t get too high. Settle also plays with good leverage in the run game allowing him to hold his ground against double teams and potentially blow up running plays between the tackles.

Bud Foster is a defensive genius and only time will tell how he decides to use a talent like Settle, but one thing is for sure this kid should be good to go from day one.
