3. Tarvarus McFadden, Defensive Back, Florida State

As good as James is McFadden is slightly better as I think there is more value with him because he is more likely to stick at cornerback. McFadden has elite size for the cornerback position at 6’2” inches and still has managed to keep weight off allowing him to stay quick.

McFadden is the new breed of cornerbacks as he is big and likes to get his hands on receivers. McFadden has good route anticipation and is able to stick with most types of receivers on most routes. He is at his best when he can use his size down the field and has decent ball skills, but he can still improve in that area.

There is a chance Fisher sticks McFadden at safety due to his size, but I think he would be better off playing cornerback and playing against some of the bigger receivers in the ACC.

I think McFadden has a chance to be really special and could develop into a shutdown corner or a ball-hawking safety, with more value coming at cornerback.
