6. 2003 Oklahoma Sooners Recruiting Class

Rivals Class Rank: No. 4

When you consider that there were no 5-star recruits in this class and that following this class the Sooners went to two national championship games and won two Big 12 titles, it is hard to see how you could label this one of the Top 10 failed recruiting classes in the college football era.

But with a plethora of 4-star talent that was supposed to bring an immense amount of depth to the program but had hardly anybody pan out, it is very easy to see why this class is dubbed a failure.

Stoops brought in huge misses like Tony Cade, Tristen Ross, Lawrence Dampeer, and of course, Tommy Grady among so many others. The class as a whole was a failure, and the team success during this time had nothing to do with the guys he brought in here. And to have the No. 4 ranked recruiting class with not one star to come out of there was a terrible look.

As a result, the Oklahoma Sooners and Bob Stoops get to be on here twice, which is probably a distinction they did not want to have.
