8. Amari Cooper, Wide Receiver, Alabama Crimson Tide

At 6’1″ 210 pounds, Amari Cooper is going to come across as more of a great possession receiver who runs great routes, has great hands, and plays bigger than he is with his ability to be a deep threat compared to his size. The only thing that might be of relevance at the NFL Combine is his vertical, but even that is a huge stretch.

Cooper’s ability stems from his intangibles and his hands. He is amazing at both and does a great job at getting separation from defenders. The combination of all those things assures that he is likely going to have no trouble adjusting to the next level, regardless of what he shows at the NFL Combine.

Cooper’s weaknesses all revolve around not finishing routes enough and sometimes showing inconsistency. Neither of those will be prevalent at the NFL Combine, so it is a waste of time to talk about what he does. Racking up 16 touchdowns and 1,727 yards on the season in the SEC is incredibly remarkable, and he does not need any combine to prove what he will be able to do at the next level.

This guy is a Top 5, can’t-miss pick no matter what who can bail any quarterback out of bad throws. The NFL had better not sleep on him.
