Biggest Question: Can the Terps replace, well, everybody?
Coming off of a win in Michigan in late November, the Maryland Terrapins football program was at an all-time high with a 7-4 record and a chance for 8 or 9 wins their first season in the Big Ten.
But blowing a huge lead to Rutgers, a huge blowout bowl loss, a bad recruiting season, and the hit in the face by reality with the fact that they have lost everybody makes the outlook very bleak now.
The Terps lose their star receivers in Deon Long and Stefon Diggs, their quarterback C.J. Brown is gone, three guys on their offensive line are gone, and they lose their entire front seven on defense.
Only the secondary has anybody back, so the question going into spring practice is this: who is going to step up? Maryland is a program designed around skill players in the Mike Locksley spread offense, and on defense they still have great playmakers in the secondary led by Will Likely, so they need to find those new skill players who will step up and put together a rough outlook of a front seven by the end of the spring.
