And now, Kingsbury has to replace all of his linebackers from that defense.
This is the last thing the Red Raiders need from a team that went 4-8 last year and was loaded with bad breaks. Of course, Texas Tech is not a bad team and was simply cursed with a bad schedule, playing in a very deep conference for only 10 teams and then Arkansas out of conference.
But if things are going to turn around, the defense has to turn around first. And if that is to happen, somebody needs to step up at linebacker this spring.
Otherwise, the Red Raiders will be once again a downtrodden program in the Big 12.

Biggest Question: How will losing everybody at linebacker affect the already bad Texas Tech defense?
It was bad enough that Kliff Kingsbury’s air raid offense with the Texas Tech Red Raiders was nowhere near as prolific as it needed to be last year. But it was even worse that the defense was as bad as, well, as you would expect a defense in an air raid offense to be.
