West Virginia Mountaineers. . team. 2391.
Biggest Question: Who will step up in the spring to replace the combination of Clint Trickett and Kevin White?

Dana Holgorsen appeared to finally have the West Virginia Mountaineers primed and ready for Power Five football this past year with Clint Trickett and Kevin White. But then Trickett got hurt again, and he is back to finding skill replacements.

This was an epic duo, and a strong case can be made for White to go over Amari Coooper in this year’s NFL Draft. So that leaves this question: who can replace these guys?

Holgorsen’s air raid offense is dependent on these type of players, and he needs to find replacements quickly. William Crest is a dual-threat quarterback entering the spring along with Skyler Howard, who came from Junior College.

Both will have a chance to battle it out, and when you throw veteran Paul Millard into the mix, there is an interesting spring. Add in two new recruits, and somebody is bound to stand-out, but that is a question for August.

Meanwhile, White may be irreplaceable.
. . Previous:
