Make every claim you want that Alabama can reload with its dominant offensive linemen always plugged in and amazing recruiting. But Saban’s players overall, particularly on offense, have underachieved in the past few years, so bringing in a whole new cast will be hard.
This is not to say that Alabama will be bad this year, have a losing record, or even finish the year outside of the top 20. But they will struggle, and a 3 or 4-loss season while playing in the SEC is certainly possible.

And let the blasphemy begin. Nick Saban’s program has already been mentioned on this site as one of the Top 5 college football programs on the decline, and any hype generated behind the Alabama Crimson Tide this year will be overhype.
Consider that the Tide could never get Jacob Coker going at quarterback last year, but he has to start this year full-time and replace Blake Sims, who ran the offense perfectly. Consider that all-everything wide receiver Amari Cooper is gone, as is running back T.J. Yeldon, as is pretty much the entire offense except for two starters.
