The success last year came at the end of the season, as they managed to stay healthy and took advantage of an LSU team that was seriously inexperienced and injured, an Ole Miss team loaded with injuries that had gone home for the holidays, and a Texas team that could never find a quarterback.
Will the Razorbacks be better this year? Yes. Have they shown enough to be in the Top 25? No, but that is where they will likely be.

A crazy two-game stretch in the regular season in which the Arkansas Razorbacks shut out the LSU Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels combined with a dominant bowl game win over the Texas Longhorns proved that Bret Bielema’s system finally started to take shape in Fayetteville. And with 17 starters returning, Arkansas fans have a right to be excited.
But the success still needs to be put in perspective. The Razorbacks still play in the loaded SEC West, and Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU, and even Texas A&M still have more depth and experience than they do.
