Top 10 College Football Teams ‘Hard Knocks’ Should Feature

With all the drama in college football, plenty of teams would be great for a reality show. Here are the Top 10 colleges Hard Knocks should feature on HBO.

It is only March, and we are already hearing about teams that Hard Knocks could feature this year on HBO.

Early reports suggested the Cleveland Browns as the front-runners to be featured on the show, but the team doesn’t want to be on reality television in part because of Johnny Manziel’s presence on the team and wanting to protect him.

All of the reality TV drama that you just can’t get enough of on Hard Knocks poses another question: What if they had Hard Knocks for college football? Sure you don’t have contract negotiations or trades you have to deal with. You also don’t have free agents or journeymen looking to make the team. And there’s not a top draft pick to draw an audience his first few practices in the NFL.

But as well as being able to mirror the NFL by showing position battles and relationships among coaches and players along with their families, college football actually would bring more to the table.

You may not have free agents or journeymen, but you’ll have walk-ons with similar goals. You may not have a top draft pick, but you’ll have a plethora of freshman stars. And you’ll also have players who have to deal with getting in trouble off the field, the drama of which would be way more exciting than in the NFL since these players could get kicked off their teams.

Dealing with transfers due to position battles and how athletes adjust to the college life, including classes, partying, and friendships, would add more drama as well.

With all of this, there are plenty of teams who could be featured on Hard Knocks going into this season, so without further ado here are the top 10 college football teams that should be featured on the HBO show.
