Josh Rosen will be the starting quarterback at UCLA
The Brett Hundley era has come to a close at UCLA. Who’s going to step up in Westwood? The three contenders are Jerry Neuheisel, Asiantii Woulard, and Josh Rosen. In a very similar situation to Michigan, Neuheisel has played a limited amount of snaps, while Woulard and Rosen have taken zero.
Neuheisel was the hero in a win over Texas early on last season but played sparingly after that. This is his fourth year at UCLA so he has the upper hand in terms of experience but Rosen’s raw talent is too much to pass up.
It’s too early to say, and ridiculous to compare incoming freshman to NFL QB’s, but Rosen looks like Aaron Rodgers in his highlight videos. You have to give this kid the ball day one and make him the face of the program, just as Penn State did with Christian Hackenberg.
