Meanwhile, he also ran for nearly 800 yards to go along with 11 rushing touchdowns. That included an amazing 68-35 win against New Mexico State in which he threw for 296 and 2 touchdowns while rushing for 153 yards and another 2 touchdowns.
Simply put, Knighten gives the Arkansas State community a lot to expect this year as he becomes a senior. Given the easy schedule, familiarity with the system among all of the players who have been used to playing under new coaches, and Knighten’s experience and efficiency, he could also put up Heisman-like numbers.

Fredi Knighten
Senior, Arkansas State Red Wolves
Learning his third new system in as many years with the program, Fredi Knighten stepped into the starting role at quarterback under new Head Coach Blake Anderson in 2014 with ease.
Remember Anderson was the fourth head coach in as many years for the program, and for Knighten and Anderson to come back after leading the Red Wolves to a 7-6 record and bowl appearance spells incredible excitement.
Knighten is an amazing dual-threat quarterback, as he threw for 3,277 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions last year while completing 62 percent of his passes.
