1. How will Sean Maguire do replacing Jameis Winston?
This question was the one everyone is asking, so it makes sense to get it out of the way first. Maguire showed that he can be a decent starter when he led the Seminoles to a win at Clemson last year, while Winston was suspended. Maguire has a decent arm and showed good poise against an elite defense with a lot on the line, but is by no means close to the level that Winston was on.
The offense will have to be dialed back a tad with more emphasis on the running game and less on the plate of the quarterback, as Maguire will not be able to do the same things as the offense did in earlier years.
However, I think Maguire will be a good quarterback for the Seminole offense and will still be able to lead them to high-powered attack. I still see them scoring over 30 points per game, but this spring game will be important to put to bed questions about his abilities.
