What impact will the return of Jabari Hunt-Days have on the defense?

With eight returning starters, including senior All-ACC defensive tackle Adam Gotsis, Georgia Tech has plenty of reasons to be excited about this upcoming year on the defensive side of the ball. But things could even get better.

Jabari Hunt-Days missed all of last year due to academic ineligibility. He is back this spring and has moved to the other defensive tackle spot. This is a guy who can be quick off the edge and has lots of strength, so to see how he deals with his transition to the middle is something to keep an eye on. According to reports, he is now at 295 pounds, which is perfect.

Hunt-Days has been branded as a guy with All-American potential, and starting next to Gotsis could make for the deadliest defensive tackle combination in all of college football at Georgia Tech this upcoming year.

This spring game is the perfect chance to see how the two work well together in the middle and how much Hunt-Days improves the defense. If he has a significant enough impact, we go from talking about the defense being good and experienced to talking about it being potentially one of the best in the country.

Maybe even the best.
