Louisville Cardinals Spring Game 2015: What to Watch
Sep 1, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Louisville Cardinals offensive linesman Tobijah Hughley (61) lines up at center against the Miami Hurricanes during the first half of play at Papa John
How will the offensive line handle the loss of three starters?
In addition to a wide-open quarterback competition, a brand new crop of receivers, and a brand new secondary, the offensive line has to replace three positions, which could be a little rough.
As Petrino said before spring practice started, this is all about putting together the right depth chart. That is just as true with the line.
And the coaching staff has kept it wide open.
There have been various rotations to find the right mix with senior tackle Aaron Epps the only guy who appears to be safe, although junior center Tobijah Hughley is in pretty good shape as well. But everything else is open, and keeping track of the rotations on Friday is worth doing.
Look out for which mix works the best. Sophomore Skylar Lacy is expected to snag a spot, but there is also room for Kelby Johnson, Lukayus McNeil, Pedro Sibiea, Khalil Hunter, and Gabe Ahner to get into the mix.
Petrino is likely to mix and match a lot at the spring game, and which rotation works best could go a long way in determining who the starters are going to be in the fall.
