It’s no secret that Alabama is loaded up front on the defensive side of the ball. The question marks fall largely on the offensive side.

Alabama’s offensive line is faced with the task of breaking in three new starters alongside center Ryan Kelly and left tackle Cam Robinson. Alabama’s offense lives and dies with its line. Derrick Henry may be talented but every running back needs a good line to open holes for him to hit. The line will also need to buy the new quarterback plenty of time. Rushed passes could result in turnovers that spell doom for Saban’s squad, especially early in the season.

On the other side of the ball, Alabama’s defensive front is stocked with talent, but has not been the best at getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. That should change this year. The list of potential pass rushers is too deep to bother listing, but A-Day might narrow that list down just a little.

Of course on Saturday, success for one unit will be failure for the other. That’s the way spring games go. If Alabama is lucky the pass rush will make it home a few times and the offensive line will build some much-needed chemistry.
