Leonard Fournette Is Going To Be Scary

Les Miles knows what he has in Leonard Fournette: a powerful runner with the potential to be the next Adrian Peterson. So, it should come as no surprise that Fournette was held to limited action during the spring game. No sense in risking a catastrophic injury to derail the season months before it starts.

In fact, Jeff Duncan at the Times-Picayune writes that Fournette is enjoying an exceptional spring and, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron thinks he’s the Tigers’ most improved player. That should prove a very scary thought for opposing SEC defenses in 2015.

In spite of his limited action, Fournette’s eight carries for 42 yards (a healthy 5.25 yards per carry) bodes well for the Tigers. A key to LSU’s success in 2015 is the running game: with the departures of Kenny Hilliard and Terrence Magee, the Tigers are looking to Fournette to take his game to the next level.

And the next level is nothing short of a bona fide Heisman-worthy campaign for the former five-star recruit.
