Overall, The Offense Will Be Better

LSU’s offensive woes made 2014 a campaign to forget and made offensive coordinator’s Cam Cameron’s seat that much warmer. But, it bears repeating just how young a team these Tigers are. Growing pains were to be expected, so LSU’s 2014 performance and underwhelming SEC finish are not surprising.

When putting all the pieces together from Saturday’s spring game performance, it’s evident the Tigers have vastly improved on offense and will definitely improv upon 2014’s results in 2015. Scoring forty-five offensive points and over 400 yards of offense – albeit in a glorified scrimmage – is strong evidence that this young Tigers squad is buying into Cam Cameron’s offensive philosophy and quickly learning the ropes.

The quarterbacks executed the offense competently, the receivers played extremely well, and the running game is in good hands with Leonard Fournette as the featured back. All in all, LSU fans should be excited about the Tigers’ spring game offensive performance and look forward to better things in 2015.
