Arik Armstead. 15. player. 42.
Why go for Marcus Mariota when Colin Kaepernick is almost the same type of player except more physically gifted? The San Francisco 49ers should focus on defense

Arik Armstead is a potential superstar, but for the most part he’s just a pretty safe bet that you can be pretty sure will work out as a solid defensive end in the NFL. With the drama that happened with the 49ers this past year, he’d be a great addition.

San Francisco needs a lot of help up front, and Armstead will seriously beef them up at 6’7″ 292 pounds. Armstead was in on 47 tackles last year and had two and a half sacks despite missing four games. And he lined up at defensive end and defensive tackle.

He will be versatile in the NFL as well, and that will be very useful in San Francisco’s defense. The 49ers know they already know they have some talent, and a few sure upgrades that they can get on the cheap end through the draft will be very valuable.

Armstead is sure to be reliable, and at 6’7″ he’s got potential at the same time. There is no reason not to go for him.
. Defensive Lineman. Oregon Ducks
