Cornerback. Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Kevin Johnson. 20. player. 54.
It looks like Chip Kelly is giving off the vibe that he knows exactly what he is doing with his offensive changes, even if he does not. But still, most of that works appears to be being done through free agency and trades.

Now, he’s got to focus on more upgrades on defense. Wake Forest cornerback Kevin Johnson would be an amazing addition to any team. But he would be welcomed with open arms in Philadelphia.

The Eagles had the No. 31 ranked pass defense last year, giving up 264.9 yards per game, and Johnson, meanwhile, was developing his talent while laboring in a terrible football program with the Demon Deacons.

As a three-year starter, Johnson got better each year, and while he’s not an interception machine, he’s a physical guy who breaks up passes and does not allow receivers to get separation.

Johnson is very aggressive, which can be a weakness with fakes sometimes, but he also knows his limitations and is smart enough to figure out where to give receivers a cushion. He’s also a good size for a cornerback standing exactly 6’0″.

Johnson will not get beat deep on big plays, and that will be a huge addition for the Eagles.
