Defensive End. Kentucky Wildcats. Alvin Dupree. 8. player. 44.
Matt Ryan is here, so no Marcus Mariota again.

But Atlanta needs upgrades everywhere else, and that is especially true on defense. And the defensive line is a heck of a place to start.

Alvin Dupree was a very good end in college, carrying a pretty mediocre defense that almost made it to a bowl game despite their brutal SEC schedule. The Kentucky Wildcats and Mark Stoops relied heavily on Dupreee, who picked up seven and a half sacks on the year.

His 4.56 40-time is just another reason to draft him, but his performance on the field is what matters the most. Dupree’s athleticism is what carried him in the SEC, so he will have to develop somewhat.

But when you look like a men among boys even in that conference, you’re destined for greatness. And if Dupree can develop fundamentally, he will be one of the best defensive ends in the NFL in a few years. He has the best upside of anybody on the defensive side of the ball going into this draft.

Atlanta could really use a physical freak like that to begin reshaping their defense and giving Matt Ryan a chance to get a Super Bowl.
